Amanda Holden makes a sly dig at Phillip Schofield over claims he jumped queue to see The Queen

‘Get in line!’: Amanda Holden makes a sly dig at Phillip Schofield over claims he jumped 12-hour queue to see the Queen lying in state – amid their ongoing feud

She’s previously made it clear she’s not a fan of her former colleague.

And Amanda Holden has made a sly dig at Phillip Schofield after it was claimed he and co-host Holly Willoughby jumped the queue at Westminster Hall in London last week to film a segment for This Morning while the late Queen lie in state.

The presenter, 51, made her feelings on the situation clear during her Heart Breakfast show as the feud between her and Phillip continues.

Amanda’s co-host Ashley Roberts, 41, can be heard saying on the programme: ‘So David Beckham has landed a seven-figure deal with Qatar’s World Cup sponsor, Doritos. I love Doritos. I’d love a seven-figure deal.

Amanda slyly replied: ‘Get in line. Well, I mean he did get in line. Good on him.’

Ashley then referenced the football legend’s recent visit to see the queen’s visit where he waited in line alongside members of the public after turning down a VIP invite.

The Pussycat Doll said: ‘Well, yes he did for like 14 hours’

It comes as a petition to have the under-fire television duo fired from their lucrative presenting roles on This Morning reached over 50,000 signatures.

Such has been the backlash to the pair that TV insiders are raising ‘serious concerns’ about the presenters’ wellbeing after they appeared tearful and muted on This Morning this week.

Phillip and Holly were keen to issue a public apology over ‘queue-gate’, but were talked out of it after taking legal advice, MailOnline revealed.

Not enough: A statement was issued by ITV on Saturday and later broadcast on Tuesday's This Morning (pictured on the show) which was voiced over by Holly, 41, but both stopped short of using the word 'sorry'

A statement was issued by ITV on Saturday and later broadcast on Tuesday’s This Morning, which was voiced over by Holly, 41, but both stopped short of using the word ‘sorry’ – a move which has left many viewers furious.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Every word of the statement was poured over. In the end, it’s spectacularly backfired.

‘Initially Holly and Phillip were prepared to say sorry if they’d upset anyone as they both just desperately want to draw a line under the affair. But they were advised strongly not to go down that road of saying sorry.’

Amanda first worked with Schofield after stepping into Holly’s shoes when the This Morning star took a year off the show to have her third baby in 2014.

But reports have long been rife about troubles between the TV hosts, with Amanda reportedly lobbying ITV executives after Schofield allegedly pushed for Rochelle Humes to take the job.

A former daytime TV executive told The Sun: ‘Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle, 30, to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced – and having been told privately she’d got the gig.’

An ITV spokesperson later insisted that Rochelle’s casting was a decision made by producers, telling MailOnline: ‘Presenter line ups on This Morning change regularly and final decisions on these line ups are made by producers and not the presenters.

‘Phillip Schofield is a much loved broadcaster and part of the ITV family. He is a consummate professional and held in high regard at ITV. Amanda is also held in high regard as a judge on one of our biggest shows.’
