No more guessing: Amazon has officially confirmed the date for its next big sales event. Prime Big Deal Days officially kicks off from midnight on Tuesday, October 10 in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and other regions around the world, with deals running until the end of Wednesday, October 11 – a full 48 hours of shopping, just like we did for Prime Day in July.
However, some countries will enjoy a longer shopping marathon. For example, Australia and Singapore can get international deals from other Amazon markets like Japan, Britain and the US, so their sales don’t end until the US West Coast ends. So if you happen to live in Australia, you get 65 hours to shop ’til you drop!
These days coincide with what we saw last year for Amazon Prime Early Access, which was from October 11 to 12 in 2022.
Following up on July’s massive Amazon Prime Day sale is no easy feat, but Amazon is already hinting at deals that First members can expect to see. Brands like Nintendo, PlayStation, Logitech, Bose and more are all poised to score big discounts, but Amazon is keeping tight-lipped about exactly which products customers will find in mid-October.
As we saw during the 2023 Amazon Prime Day sale, we expect Amazon-branded devices to deliver some hefty bargains and avid readers should keep an eye out for savings on the best Kindles. For those looking to upgrade their home’s technology, we expect you’ll find some of the best smart home devices on sale, including Amazon’s Echo range.
We also hope that some of Amazon’s premium services will bring some savings. During Amazon Prime Day, additional channels on Prime Video were offered at discounted prices in some markets, such as Shudder and Paramount Plus. Additionally, gamers can take advantage of Prime Gaming benefits at no additional cost, including digital copies of full games, so fingers crossed we’ll see more of this in October.
How to maximize your savings during the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale
Like Amazon Prime Day, the best discounts during Prime Big Deal Days are likely to be exclusive to Prime members. So if you’re planning on joining the sale, sign up in advance, and new members will even get a 30 day trial period so you can try out the service without parting with any extra money.
Free shipping is available on both domestic and eligible international purchases, so shoppers don’t have to worry about extra costs while searching for their next prized possession. Amazon also typically offers additional coupons for product listings and has limited Lightning Deals for the entire sale, so you’ll need to be quick on your feet (or fingers in this case) if a product you want to buy gets a deep discount.
Before the sale, we recommend that you keep an eye on this Amazon’s bestsellers lists as this can give you an idea of what is popular and what could potentially lead to a price drop. Plus, you can put anything you’re interested in on a wishlist so you can quickly find the product once the discounts start. We also keep track of the biggest discounts on our Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sales page, so you don’t have to spend hours searching for the best deals.
If you plan to shop from your phone, you may also want to download the Amazon app. The app lets you set alerts for saved items and even track your purchases once they’ve shipped. Plus, during Amazon Prime Day, we found a variety of apps and tools to help us score the best Prime Day deals, and these will be useful for this upcoming sale as well.
In addition to shopping benefits, a Prime membership also offers a lot of other benefits. Prime Video, Prime Gaming, Prime Music, and Prime Reading are all included with an Amazon Prime membership, so you can access hours of movies, shows, music, games, books, and more, even during the holidays. Try it for free for 30 days.
