Kennesaw, Georgia — Authorities announced arrest of man in connection with Thursday Killing of three men shot dead on a golf course Of the Atlanta Country Club in the suburbs.
Sheriff Long, a spokesman for the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, said Cobb County Sheriff’s agent and the U.S. Marshals Service were more than 25 miles (40 km) away from where the murdered man was found. He said he had arrested Brian Roden. Atlanta Journal-Constitution..
No further information about the arrest was immediately available. It was not immediately clear what Roden was accused of.
According to police, golf pro Eugene Schiller was shot at the Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, northwestern Atlanta, when he went to find out why a white pickup truck boarded the 10th green.
Two other men were found dead in a pickup truck bed due to a gunshot wound. Police identified them as 46-year-old Henry Valdes of California and 76-year-old Paul Pierson of Kansas.
Investigators believe that 46-year-old Schiller was killed for encountering an “ongoing crime,” police said. Police did not appear to have been targeted, and other men seemed to be “totally unrelated to the location,” police said in a statement. Pearson was the registered owner of the truck.
Police have not commented on the motives for the murder of two men whose bodies were found in Pickup.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Roden had a lawyer who could speak for him.
