Dakota Fanning was effortlessly stylish as she stepped out for retail therapy on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood on Monday.
The actress, 29, made a fun fashion statement in a striking striped black and white maxi dress, which she wore with black slides.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star – who recently returned to the big screen with Denzel Washington, 20 years after their hit film Man on Fire – swept her blonde locks back into a bun for the outing.
Dakota shielded her eyes with black sunglasses and carried a black shoulder bag on one arm and a white tote on the other.
The star appeared to be make-up free during the outing and was spotted chatting on her mobile phone as she made her way through the shopping area.

The outing comes after Dakota enjoyed a reunion with her Man On Fire co-star Denzel.
Dakota and the Oscar winner, 69, appeared together in the third and final installment of the Equalizer trilogy: The Equalizer 3.
Fanning plays a CIA agent sent to Italy to investigate mafia activity when she meets Robert McCall (Washington).
The former government assassin has moved to southern Italy in an attempt to move on with his life and atone for some of the atrocities he committed in his past.
Enjoying the slow pace of life, McCall quickly builds friendships in the sleepy village and for a while it seems he has succeeded in fulfilling his wish to start over.
But McCall soon realizes that his new community is under the control of local crime bosses and he naturally feels compelled to act on their behalf.
The Equalizer 3 is currently out in theaters, after being released on August 31st.

The Watchers will be an adaptation of AM Shine’s novel of the same name, which was published in 2021.
The film revolves around an artist named Mina, who becomes lost in a forest in western Ireland.
The character then becomes stuck with three strangers who are the subject of nighttime stalking by various creatures.
Ishana’s father, M. Night Shyamalan, will serve as one of the executive producers of The Watcher.
