Delhi to Mumbai in just 13 hours: India to have world’s largest expressway by March 2022

Union Minister for Street Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari on Friday introduced that the federal government is developing the world’s longest highway, that’s, Delhi-Mumbai Categorical Freeway.

Talking on the occasion, Gadkari stated, “The Expressway shall be 1,380 km lengthy and can go as much as Jawaharlal Nehru Port Belief (JNPT), However now, we’re additionally planning to take it as much as Nariman Level.”

Based on him, the mission will recover from by March 2022 and India may have world’s largest expressway.

Earlier, it used to take round 48 hours to cowl the space between Mumbai and Delhi by truck and 24-26 hours by automobile. However now, it can solely take roughly 18-20 hours to cowl the space between Delhi and Mumbai by truck and 12-13 hours by automobile, Gadkari added.

He stated, “This freeway is crossing from the tribal districts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, this shall be a growth for the areas and create many employment alternatives for the folks.

The expressway will join the city centres of Delhi via the Delhi-Faridabad-Sohna part of the hall together with a spur to Jewar Airport and Jawaharlal Nehru Port to Mumbai via a spur in Mumbai.
