Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo to submit resignation as Lok Sabha MP tomorrow

Former Union minister Babul Supriyo is scheduled to satisfy Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Tuesday at 11am to formally submit his resignation as an MP from the Home.

Taking to Twitter, he expressed gratitude to the Speaker for granting the appointment.

“Honest Gratitude to Hon’ble Speaker Sir Om Birla for granting me his time tomorrow at 11 am to formally resign as a MP. I can’t maintain on to the Berth/Perks/Wage of a MP now that I’m not part of @BJP4India that I gained the seat for. If I’ve it in me, will win it once more,” Supriyo tweeted at present.

The transfer comes after Supriyo resigned from BJP and joined the TMC in September.

Earlier on October 1, Supriyo shared a letter he wrote to the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla searching for an appointment to satisfy him for an pressing matter. The TMC chief had stated he despatched a letter searching for Om Birla’s appointment on September 20 and was acknowledged as ‘obtained’.

Supriyo had resigned in August as minister of state for Atmosphere, Forest and Local weather Change, following the Union Cabinet reshuffle. In a Fb submit, he stated that there was a distinction of opinion between him and the West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Social gathering (BJP) leaders and that the distinction of opinion amongst senior leaders was “harming the social gathering”.
