Fourth Consecutive Long Beach State Men’s Basketball Game Canceled – Los Angeles Sentinel | Los Angeles Sentinel


The men’s basketball game at California State University Long Beach, scheduled for Thursday, was canceled due to the COVID-19 protocol within the Mustang program, the university announced today.

Following the recently adjusted Big West Conference guidelines, the game will be declared no contest and will not be rescheduled. This game will be canceled 4 times in a row on the beach. The match between La Sierra on December 18th and the University of San Diego scheduled for December 20th was canceled due to the COVID-19 protocol in the program.

The December 28th match with the NAIA School Hope International was added on December 21st, but due to the COVID-19 Safety Protocol within the Hope International Program, the match date was cancelled. Long Beach State University (3-7) will be the opening round of the conference next Saturday at California State University Bakersfield. The beach hasn’t played since December 12, when they lost to USC, 73-62.
