India and GCC resume free trade agreement talks – minister

India and GCC resume free commerce settlement talks – minister

NEW DELHI, Nov 24 (Reuters) – India and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have agreed to renew talks on a free commerce settlement, India’s commerce minister Piyush Goyal mentioned on Thursday.

These talks mark the third such try and ink a commerce pact between the 2 areas, with negotiations beforehand held in 2006 and 2008.

Mutually agreed areas of focus within the talks can be meals safety, vitality safety and know-how switch, amongst others, mentioned GCC Secretary Common Nayef Falah M. Al-Hajraf.

The GCC is a union of six international locations within the Gulf area together with Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain.
