Islamic State tells supporters to target westerners, oil pipelines in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia, which has Islam’s holiest websites and is the world’s largest oil exporter, has pressured the necessity to step up efforts to achieve an enduring and sustainable peace settlement among the many Palestinians and the Israelis.

An Islamic State spokesman known as on the militant group’s supporters to focus on westerners, oil pipelines and financial infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.

“Targets are a lot … Begin by hitting and destroying oil pipelines, factories and amenities that are the supply (of revenue) of the tyrant authorities,” the spokesman, Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, stated in a recorded speech on the militant group’s official telegram channel.

He stated the dominion had supported normalisation with Israel by opening its airspace for Israeli flights to neighbouring Gulf states.

The threats surfaced as Bahrain has adopted the United Arab Emirates in agreeing final month to normalise ties with Israel.
