Dori Hazama needed practical and emotional help after her mother fell last fall, spent months rehabilitating and trying to get home in a wheelchair.

Her parents’ house needed a wheelchair ramp and a hospital bed. Her mom needed home care. Her dad was overwhelmed. Mr. Hazama had lost his temper.

“I was angry that my mom didn’t try to walk and my dad didn’t make her,” said Hazama of Oldsmer, Florida.
