Rains submerge parts of Delhi, waterlogging reported in many areas


Many components of Delhi noticed waterlogging as rains continued on Thursday morning.

Visitors has been affected as a result of waterlogging in Jhilmil, beneath Raja Backyard Flyover, Jhandewalan Mandir on Rani Jhansi Highway, MB Highway at Lal Kuan (each carriageway, and Ma Anandmayee Marg close to DD Motors (each carriageway), the Delhi site visitors police tweeted.

The Safdarjung Observatory, which gives consultant figures for the town, recorded 46 mm rainfall between 8:30 am on Wednesday and eight:30 am on Thursday.

Commuters had been caught as key stretches had been waterlogged and site visitors officers had been busy clearing the snarls.

Incidents of uprooting of timber had been additionally reported. The IMD has warned of heavy rains within the metropolis on Thursday, PTI reported.
