Rust console wipe and update: When is console server wipe day?

The Rust console edition follows a different schedule to the PC version but still wipes server progress on a monthly basis.

It should be noted that there is only a PS4 and Xbox One version of the game at this time, meaning there is no next-gen version to upgrade to.

However, all console gamers can download the current version available from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store.

And one of the most important times in the gaming calendar is planned for the next 24-hours, which will affect more active players.

The Rust console edition monthly wipe day is scheduled for this week, and it won’t be long before everything is scrubbed clean.

All the core Rust Console Edition servers follow the same monthly wipe schedule which will be on the last Thursday of every month at 11am PST/2pm EST/7pm BST.

This is applicable regardless of server region and/or time zones across PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

It should be noted that when a server wipe happens, all Rust servers return to a refreshed state.

This means that all buildings and items found on the map will be scrubbed and everyone will have to start new projects.

A message from the Rust development team adds: “We understand the urge for players to be among the first to join the freshly wiped servers so we want to have a predictable and easy to follow pattern for all of you.

“As for blueprints we will avoid wiping them as much as possible but in some cases it might be needed to maintain the stability of the game. If this is the case we will let you know beforehand. We are planning “blueprint always wipe” servers, for those that would like a fresh experience every month.”

And according to the latest schedule posted online, the next Rust console server wipe is scheduled to begin at 7pm BST on Thursday, July 28.

Developers Double Eleven has also confirmed that patch 1.04 will be coming out soon, after further work has been done to avoid issues.

A message from the Rust support team revealed earlier this week: “QA found a major issue during loading, causing frequent crashes. We found a fix, however to ensure that the crashes don’t persist into patch, QA is taking additional testing time. Once that is done we will update you on the released of 1.04.”
