Supercar manufacturer McLaren announces CEO Mike Flewitt is stepping down

LONDON — McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt is stepping down after greater than eight years answerable for the supercar firm.

The British automaker announced his departure Wednesday, with out specifying why he is leaving.

Flewitt joined McLaren as chief working officer in June 2012 and was appointed CEO in July 2013.

A seek for his substitute is underway, McLaren stated.

“I really feel extremely proud to have led McLaren Automotive via most of its first, highly-successful decade and am privileged to have performed a component within the unbelievable McLaren story,” Flewitt stated in an announcement.

He added: “This younger firm’s success is testomony to the various passionate and proficient individuals I’ve had the pleasure of working with and I stay up for seeing that success proceed.”

McLaren stated Flewitt has been “instrumental” throughout his time on the firm.

“We thank Mike for his large contribution and need him all the easiest in his future endeavours,” stated Paul Walsh, government chairman of the McLaren Group, in an announcement.

McLaren Group non-executive director Michael Macht can be liable for all technical and operational features whereas gross sales, advertising and PR will report into Walsh.
