UNION barons threatening a “Summer of Discontent” have given Labour more than £10million since Sir Keir Starmer, below, became leader two years ago.
Seven unions across the railways, postal system, buses, airports and NHS have donated to the party.
Tory party chairman Oliver Dowden said Sir Keir’s refusal to condemn the strikers “proved the old adage that ‘he who pays the piper calls the tune’”.
Unison has donated £3.2million, Unite £3million, GMB has given £2.6million and the Communication Workers Union has chipped in £1million.
Labour said: “Labour has been very clear these strikes should not go ahead.”
